I ,Tyler Geldenhuys, purchased the Hyundai Staria from Autohub edenvale on the 17th of January 2025 through the sales agent, Diedier Du Plessis

During the test drive, the vehicle appeared to be in good condition, and I was assured by your sales agents that it was mechanically sound, had no issues, and had not been involved in any accidents as it was a demo model. They insured me they would supply a passed a roadworthy inspection, and a DEKRA test, which was never supp****.

Based on this information, I felt confident in proceeding with the purchase and paid R699000.

On my way home, I noticed a knocking noise when braking and accelerating. I booked the vehicle into Hyundai for an inspection. It was then brought to my attention that the vehicle had been involved in a major accident and Hyundai provided me with a list of parts previously ordered for repairs. I was also informed that the subframe is bent and requires realignment, which would involve sending the vehicle to a panel beater.

On the 22nd of January, two working days later, I returned the vehicle to Auto Hub Edenvale and informed Diedeer of the issues. I was told that the matter would be escalated to your director which it never was. I requested a refund as I no longer felt comfortable keeping the vehicle, even if it is repaired, as I a purchased a demo model not a vehicle that had been written off. Also due to this experience and the negative reviews I’ve seen on Hello Peter and Google of which there are many saying the same thing happened to them. This is not the first time. We later obtained a natis check which proves the vehicle is a write off and was repaired by Auto hub. Please contact me on *** if you have been ****med by these guys aswell.
