Vehicle sold to me under false pretences by Peugeot Northcliff
On the 01/02/2018 I purchased and signed for a "2014 2.0 Jeep Compass" from Sales Person Tapfuma Tsvuura from Peugeot Northcliff. The service from Tapfuma prior to me buying the vehicle was good and I received calls everyday to find out if there was anything he could help me with while in the process of buying the vehicle. I took ownership of the vehicle and everything was ok until I received a mail and a call from Tapfuma +- 2 months after that telling me that Wesbank has the incorrect Vin and Engine numbers and this needs to be corrected. I went to the dealership to sign for the changes that was made only to find out that the vehicle which I thought was a "2014" model was actually a "2013" model. I feel that the vehicle was sold to me under false pretences. I went in a few days after signing to drop my car off for a service and went to speak to Mark Braun (Sales Manager) and spoke to him about this issue and expressed that I was not impressed about this. If I wanted a "2013 Jeep Compass" vehicle, I would have bought it somewhere else as I could have got It cheaper at a different dealership. I was told by Mark that the only thing they could do is "try" and source a "2014" model Jeep Compass for me. This was +-3 weeks ago when I went to see Mark. Till now, I have been requesting feedback on what is going on only to be told they have to source another vehicle. On Thursday 23/05/2018 I called the dealership to speak to Jean Basson (Dealer Principal) and find out if he knew anything about this issue. I was told he just walked into a meeting and will call be back after his meeting. I'm still waiting for his call.
