Terrible vehicle buying experience

<p>I recently bought a car cash from Autohaus Angel (Bellville) for R220,000. As with most dealerships, I got 1 month or 1000km warranty.</p> <p>Once they received their money, I was clearly not important to them as a customer anymore. After driving the vehicle for a couple of days, I noticed that the radio "back/previous" button is broken. I informed the dealer at Autohaus Angel to which he responded there is nothing they can do. Fair enough, but I would have liked to know about the fault before buying.</p> <p>Then, just after the 1 month warranty period, the vehicle didn't start one morning after slowly struggling more and more every day. The battery was completely flat. I had it tested at a battery centre and they confirmed that the battery is dead or dying fast and must be replaced.</p> <p>I informed the dealer again. Because 1 month has lapsed, they won't replace the battery for me. Fair enough, although I would have appreciated knowing that they tested the battery before selling the vehicle.</p> <p>In summary, it feels like Autohaus Angel was not upfront with me in terms of all the faults of the vehicle. Also, they have no compassion for their customers.</p> <p>One would not expect to pay just shy of a quarter of a million rand for a vehicle will have a dead battery 1 month later.</p> <p>My advice: Avoid dealerships as far as possible, but if you can't, at least do not deal with Autohause Angel Bellville.</p> <p>If there were a 0-star rating, I would have chosen that.</p>
