Your Entire Life is turned upside down

My experience with Autogroup over the past 7 months has been terrible to say the least.

My vehicle was handed over to AutoGroup in 2014.

Payment was made on a monthly basis which majority of the time it was late payment.

The user damaged the vehicle and was not making payments. The car was then picked up in October 2016.

I was told that the car needed to go in for repairs for the damages. Autogroup did confirm that the car was not been monitored properly by the person in that area. The vehicle was not licensed and still isn't.

I was then told that they needed to recon my account and i had to pay the November installment, insurance and tracker. In December i was told that insurance did not want to pay for the damages because my November payment was not done. Luckily i showed them proof that i did. I did not pay for anything thereafter as i was not getting the monthly payments. However the finance house put a stop order on one month payment and i ended up paying my rental late. When i asked Autogroup for assistance nothing was done.

As i am not in Jhb i do not have access to the car or what the situation really is.

The vehcile is in arrears and i have had the finance house coming to my offices to pick up the vehicle from Feb 2017.

When i called Autogroup while the collectors were at my offices i was told by Jenna and Laurrel to give the collectors their contact details and i must request a warrant from the collections agency.

If i request that i will be blacklisted for 5 years which Autogroup have no care about.

The vehicle from November 2016 has been paid only for 1 month and they cannot get a buyer.

They went on for 2 months in Dec/ Jan saying that they needed to recon the account. They then said that they were not aware of the values on the account and that they had it wrong.

The policy states that if the vehicle is in their possession they will pay the monthly installments which clearly is not true.

I have begged and pleded with them for 7 months now and nothing has been done. Its been the same old lies day in day out.

If you dont want collectors coming to your offices and imbarrassing you infront of your colleagues and managers stay away from Auto Group.

I have become a person who doesn't want to go into work for the fear of the collectors being there.

I have even asked Autogroup to please pay the outstanding amount and they refused.

I am still in this situation and have collectors coming to give me documents on a daily basis. I am still young and i can see myself getting blacklisted for a long time. Crying, pleading, begging. The levels you go to will not change anything.

Due to the payments i made in November i have been in arrears with my accounts as i expected them to refund me. The amount that is owed to the finance house i was told last week by AutoGroup that they expected a lower amount. Which i sent a statement through to them to show them the true amount.

I just pray i can have my life back to normal.

Dear Sugeshan
We are sorry to have gotten to the point where you felt you had no options left to you.
We just want to say that over the last three years of us managing your vehicle, things very seldom went wrong, unfortunately we can’t always control all aspects of the user.
It does happen from time to time that the user fails to think about the other parties involved. Yes, we did collect your car and yes, there were a few issues. All of which have been addressed by AutoGroup. We spent R30 000.00 doing the repairs and the vehicle is ready to be sold again.
We understand your frustration and as we have discussed on the phone we are doing everything within our power to assist in getting this matter sorted.
Although there were late payments on the vehicle the vehicle was paid. The damages were sadly just due to the negligence of the user and we have been sorting that out.
Please understand that we are committed to you and we will do all in our power to sort out the remainder of the problems and trust that we can get back to a healthy relationship as we had all the time before this happened.
We will make sure that we keep you updated as often as we can.
