Autogate ******* prices

I contacted Autogate for a quote on my garage doors and garage door motors that were giving problems. They charge a call out fee of R450 to come and check/quote which makes it very difficult to get other quotes. I received a quotation of R4,500 and I asked them to give me a breakdown between materials and costs. They quoted R450 for two pulleys (cost R20 each), R650 for two cables (R60 per set) and 2x 60kg springs (R80 each), R800 for motor repairs and R650 for service.<br> <br> I went to a garage door hardware supplier and was shocked when I saw the actual costs. The guy was very helpful and told me exactly what I needed to do to fix problems. Total spares were under R400 and it took me about 2.5 hours to do (experienced technician would probably be done in less then an hour).<br> <br> I feel ********** and want to warn any potential customers. I feel it is completely ********* the prices they are charging and the fact that they then went on and **** about it when I asked for a split between materials and labour. Please beware!
