Assistance

When you read here. This is how the system failed me as a human being. If you can and know off any one that can assist me it will be highly appreciated.

On the 01st of April 2016 my Land Rover was towed to Auto Ezi by Moot Towing. Their Report states car was in good working order only mechanical problem. Not starting.

Then I got a call 5 month later, which they cannot fix the vehicle, that if I don’t collect the vehicle, it will be sold. Collected the car on 23rd September 2016.

This is how we received the car back.

1. Engine, the engine block was taken out and the top dumped onto the back seat.

2. Dash Board, was ripped apart and dismantled, wiring was stripped.

3. Console, was dismantled and stripped.

4. Front Windscreen cracked.

5. Gear box , was taken apart, stripped, and dismantled,

When I call Antoinette from Auto Ezi asked what is going on her rep**** was that they will send someone to come and put it back together at our house or they will give me R35000 for the Land Rover.

I explained that the car is still under finance and belongs to ABSA and still owe R70 000 on it.

It’s totally unacceptable. I went to the OMBUDSMAN for assessment and was waiting for a long time for any recommendation. I then went to the Small claims court and the Commissioner recommended higher court because the claim value is too high they only cover up to R15 000.

With all that was happening and everything placed pressure on me, and my employer, I lost my JOB. With me unemployed, trying to settle this, and the monthly premium with the monthly insurance, I really struggled and still, struggling. So I asked Legal Aid to assist me.

Our lawyer Koos Seshoka let us know that we have a court date on the 18th October 2019 but without a Technical assessment report he will cancel the date.

I contacted Dekra, AA and independent technician for assistance no one is prepare to assist all they said there is no way that someone can strip a car and call it a strip to quote and give it back in pieces

It is going now for 3 years and don’t know what to do. I have really been all over, asking desperately and begging and explaining the whole situation and don’t know what to do any more. I’m asking for any one that is reading this to tell me where and how can I get some assistance and get this matter resolved.

What should I do? This is a very complicated circumstance; I am not a mechanic, so not clued up, on these matters.

I am begging; please help me where you can.

It seems to me, one or both workshops, have exploited me, have taken me for a ride.

One or both workshops, have ****** from me, de*****ed me.

It might be serious accusations, but it does not make sense to me, what has happened to me.

I visit LR Xtreme where my Landrover is standing currently and asked if they can assist me and this is the conversation in writing.

To whom it may concern,

I refer to our visit to your company, LR Xtreme. Please take note that I write to you, so that you know that everything I have said is true and that a copy of this will be forwarded to Legal Aid to use in court to prove everything I’m going through and what happened to me is because I was honest, helpful and doing the right thing in life.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and sorry for the emotions, it is not so as to get sympathy from you. This is a family that has been and is still going through a lot. As I said. This is my story and I hope that one day that you will find it to trust and have it in your heart to reach out for people that are honest and trustworthy.

My name is Anna Maria Barbara Kruger (Id ***) I have a good heart and trust people to easy. I had a friend which life knock down badly, so this is where it all starts. I put the Landover Discovery on my name for Gerrit Viljoen. We had an agreement that he will make the monthly instalments and the insurance and if something happened to him a policy will cover the outstanding amount. Gerrit pass away on 13 January 2015. The Court made a ruling that because of his minor children, all money goes to kids and that resulted, in me ending up having the debt of the Landrover.

The Landrover is a struggle because I had a Toyota Etios, which unfortunately has been ****** in April 2017. Lucky I had good insurance and the car was settled in full, and no money was owed. That solved that problem but it left me without a vehicle. The Landrover was broken since 2016 and a struggle between the Ombudsman and then the small claims court and now we busy at the Magistrate court and the battle goes on.

I lost my job in 2017 because of not having car, where my previous employer said, that I am not allowed to travel with my colleges to work. So I was without a job for 8 months and now I have found a job and I am without a car. Again my work requires me to have my own car. So this is why I came to visit you.

My plea, is that I have found a job, I can start paying you an instalment of R3000, per month, until court case has been is settled. Sir, you don’t understand if one is a single parent with two children, I know a car is a luxury and that we have a lot to be grateful for. We have a roof over our heads, we have food every night and we have each other. Sir this luxury, helps when it’s raining, so as not to get wet, it will help me to get to work and yes I have to respect your discussion that no money no car.

But please Sir I am my knees and plea to you to please reconsider and help us. My work is really important to us, and I need it. I am thankful for a job and don’t want to lose it. Since the time I left you, I have been all over, looking for a car, and to be honest I don’t have R12000.00 for a deposit. I have been on training these last few weeks and traveling to the various branches, which I need to visit for work, has been a challenge. Please Sir, I cannot tell my new employer, I don’t have a vehicle. I need this job, to get back on my feet and make a living.

I want to thank you for listening and understanding, and I will keep you, and all the
