AUTOECU.

The ECU from my Mercedes GL 500 was sent to Autoecu late in July as the repair facility I patronize found it to be causing errors in the car's operation. It was "repaired" and sent back . I asked for the report and I was told that 3 dry soldered joints were attended to. Charge R8260.87. The unit was installed and my vehicle returned on 8th August. The engine warning light still came on and as such I returned the vehicle to the repair company. They found the ECU still faulty and verified this with a genuine Mercedes Diagnostic analyzer. It was sent back to Autoecu who had the unit in excess for 10 days. They claim it was an IC intermittent fault and would cost R3500 to replace this item. This was done, the ECU returned and it was STILL FAULTY. Again, this was proven by testing the unit with a genuine Mercedes Benz diagnostic Analyzer. The repair company, now very embarrassed and frustrated ordered me a new ECU from the UK. Due to Autoecu's very unprofessional service and failure to correct the fault on my vehicle ECU, I have been without my vehicle in excess of one month. NOW, they want the service company to send the ECU back a THIRD time, but the owner of the service company refuses. I support his stance as the satisfaction received by ECU is ZERO.
