Stay Away From Autocorp

Stay away from this dealership!

I purchased a vehicle from them in December 2025. Within 9 days of purchase the vehicle started giving issues (not starting). The dealership then advised me it must be the tracking device that was put in.

Long story short, the tracking company had come out and replaced the tracking device (the vehicle was starting again, prior to this and the dealership coming out to constantly jump start me. Each time the dealership came out to jump start me, the vehicle took +-30 minutes to start, which would point out that, this is not a battery issue.

The vehicle had now been starting fine intermittently for about 1-2 months. Then one Saturday, it refused to start, so I had replaced the battery (R3 300.00). The vehicle would still not start. The dealership then came out the following Monday and tried jump starting me for +- 30 minutes again (Probably causing strain to the started). The vehicle did not start. I then had a phone call with the manager - Andre, who confirmed I should have the vehicle towed to a repair, at my own expense. I then asked should I take the vehicle to VW, where he responded stating VW is too expensive. I then asked if I should take it to Bosch, and he had agreed.

The next week, Bosch had quote R98 000.00 for extensive damages on the vehicle engine, caused by bad timing on the vehicle. I had immediately informed the dealership that I want this entire deal cancelled and my funds refunded, to which they had straight-out refused.

They then towed the vehicle to repairer that they have a relationship with (red flag). This was also the first time they had ever offered to tow the vehicle. They had then informed me that Bosch had misdiagnosed the vehicle, and it is a small issue (this took 2 and a half weeks to diagnose).

During this time, I had logged a complaint with MIOSA and The NCC, which I am still awaiting feedback on.

Currently I am still paying a vehicle installment, Insurance and Tracker for a vehicle I do not have.
