Nissan Nigel - Dealership not to be trusted

Complaint against Nissan Nigel (Gauteng) I like to start by my big disappointment in Nissan Nigel. Very poor service. They don't know what they're doing. They made more damage to my car than they repaired. I own a Nissan Juke 1.6dig Tekna. On December 11, 2023, I took my car to Nissan Nigel. Have problems with overheating. I checked the water and filled it up. I was informed by Nissan Nigel that there was crack in the radiator. I instruct to fix. Costs R5832.03. I receive my car back. But there's still something wrong. I still have to reintroduce more than a litre of water every time I start engine. I'll take in vehicle again on December 18, 2023. I probably didn't notify until 2 days afterwards that engine blew gasket. But my question is.... I'm taking the vehicle for overheating... there is problem with radiator. How does a garage return vehicle without checking if rest of engine is still ok. You HAVE to wonder about gasket... I instruct to fix. I don't have choice. My husband calls the garage. And ask them to look at everything. Oil pump and Water pump... and all that was paired with the gasket... seeing that the engine is stripped and easy to check water pump. So now, all the engineers are closing for December holidays. I have to wait, January 8, 2024 is engine in for repairs. I don't receive my car back until January 19, 2024. Morning +- 12:00 in the morning to pick up the car. I drove back to work. The afternoon after work on the way home. Start jerking car and swallowing. Lose strength and then suddenly got power back for second or so then again engine gut out. I pull off road. Try restarting vehicle. But no success. Smoke comes out of engine and car doesn't want to start again. I took video so I have proof of it. I contact Nissan Nigel. They come towing me in because they can't see the error now. Understand my frustration. I now received car back. It cost me R15498.31. And here the car leaves me on the side of the road... How??? I didn't receive car back until January 23, 2024. They explain... just an earth wire... I don't understand how it takes so long to figure out and takes so long to fix... doesn't make sense... On Thursday, January 25, 2024, I was on my way home. And vehicle again gives problems. If I pull away or as I change gears, then there is a funny sucking sound coming from the turbo. And then the engine light arrived on the dash. What a frustration... the car has been in and out yet again this stuff happens. And if vehicle idle then there is funny scratch/grind sound that was never there before it went into Nissan Nigel for 1st time. I have to admit... Before my car broke down, that engine walked so softly. And you could barely hear if it idle... BUT now no more. Not after Nissan Nigel got his hands on it. On the morning of January 26, 2024, I stopped again at Nissan Nigel to see what was wrong with the sucking sound of turbo. Jan the mechanic ***** on the clamp of the turbo pipe that were loose... Now I ask... how is it possible that you are not looking. What if the turbo sucked dust seeing that I stay on farm and drive 20km on gravel road. For real???? What else???? Jan fixes clamp right again. And there's sound sucking away. But the noise as a car idles still there. He says he doesn't know what it is. He admits he hears what I hear but can't say what it is. It's mechanic... Anyway, he sends me away like that. Se he'll talk to manager and get back to me. Didn't come back to me... So for a few days my car made such a noise. Sounds like tractor. I just went back to Nissan Nigel for the how many time... I mean really. Jan then got error from the catalytic converter. With the 1st time when car was stuck in and he just replaced the radiator, things melted well inside the catalytic convertor. He cleaned up and sat back again. But when he put everything back, he found that there was something wrong with pumping water... I need to replace water pump... And this after my husband himself had already asked them with the gasket... LOOK AT EVERYTHING....the waterpump and oil pump with pressure test twice. Ok, so we replace the water pump... further R2300... But the noise and grunting in my car is still there. And then it was said to be a sound that I had to get used to after the stuff melted at the catalytic. On February 24, 2024, I took my car in to Nissan Heidelberg. Because about week before that, I saw water under car. Stopped at gas station. And here they have to pour water again. Here my car lacks water AGAIN... How is that possible.... For real. Heidelberg Nissan then did some pressure tests. They let them know they looked everywhere all the pressure tests did there wasn't a water leak. They don't get fault. That cost me another R690. And so then Wednesday, February 28, 2024, I returned from work to home. So few km before home, the car's engine light goes back on. Call Heidelberg Nissan right away and they explain the Thursday their full booked can't help me. I can't take in car until Friday. I get home. My husband and I checked and here I have to pour in more water at radiator again. But this time I took video clip to be able to show Heidelberg Nissan. THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. I contact Nissan Head Office to put in a complaint. Because this can’t go on like this. I'm just pretty tired and fed up with all this that Nissan can't get my car right after Nissan Nigel made mistakes and brought more damage than fixing. I'm talking to Tebogo at the complaint department. 2days later I get reference no (REF no **********8) So on Saturday, March 2, 2024, the lady Riana sent me video that they got the water leak. Its a black water pipe that’s got a leak that water came through. I ask her now how did they get it. Her answer is that they did a pressure test. So what is this pressure test other than the other one where they couldn't find anything wrong. I don't understand... How many pressure test are there to find water leak? Tuesday, March 5, Riana from Heidelberg Nissan lets me know they don't get this pipe from Nissan agent. This on back order... I’m going to have to wait 4 weeks... I cannot wait 4 weeks. This situation is now going on from the beginning of December 2023. It's been 3 months of struggling now. I don't have another vehicle to drive to work with. I've been in big trouble at my job about taking off every now and then when a car gives me trouble. I did speak to Tebogo again at head office on March 6, 2024, explaining that I can't wait 4 weeks. And I can't stay off work for 4 weeks. It's impossible. Nissan should help with courtesy vehicle. Tebogo would have come back to me, but she didn't. Please understand my frustration and anger that I have. In total I spent R24320.34.34 on vehicle to fix. But it's still not right and sorted out. I must just pay and pay… for a vehicle I cannot trust anymore… What can I do? Who is going to help sort this out? One thing I do know is that NISSAN NIGEL has made me realized not to do business with Nissan again. I'll change to other dealership where there's decent service and to mechanics who know what they're doing. We take our car to be serviced by NISSAN double the prize a private mechanic charge and we get worse service from Nissan than from the private mechanic. WHAT IS THE USE THEN TO SERVICE MY CAR AT THE DEALERS THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST IN SOUTH AFRICA.

Up till date. I still need to put in water in radiator. So on, 2 April 2024. I decide to open the oil cap. And there you have it. it seems to be the gasket has blown again... or... maybe is was never fixed correctly. who knows? What am i to do now? I have put in complaint in at Nissan Head Office. Still a waits for them to resolve my problem. I paid a lot for the repairs. But dont have a car.
