Autocity Heidelberg

We were in the process of buying a 2012 VW Polo 1.4 Comfortline from Autocity Heidelberg. The finance was approved and the Fiance and Insurance Business Manager emailed the banking details to the Salesman to forward to me to pay the deposit. I paid the deposit on 29/09/2021 and the Salesman brought the vehicle to me for inspection. According to him, the price was dropped from R129 900.00 to R99 990.00 as I saw on the advert.( Price on the ad was R99 990.00) The mileage on this vehicle is 232 000km. I checked the vehicle from front to back, inside and underneath. Firstly, all different tyres and all smooth, the rear right wheel was loose (nuts were tightened but the drum is moving) interior dirty as hell, both headlamps loose, the engine was dirty (traces of overheating), and oil leaks all over, front bumper not lining up. While I was inspecting the engine the oil was dripping down from the sump. The salesman called the "Dealer Prinicipal" (that's what he calls himself) and he agrees to get the problems fixed. I took pics of everything and the Salesman sent it to the "DP". After all of this, the Saleman left back to Heidelberg. I get a call from the "DP"to say he will refund my deposit. I contacted the salesman to asked if this "DP"didn't agree earlier to fix the problems. A few seconds later I received a voice note from the "DP"on the salemans number. Telling me very rudely, he is not willing to spend any money on the car anymore as he spend R9 000.00 to fix it and that I'm getting more car for my money. (Imagine more car for my money) . So please be very careful when dealing with these people, especially the "Dealer Principal". I would advise you to turn a blind eye to them. Very discussing service to a prospective client.
