AutoCity Alberton refusing to comply with CPA
I purchased a vehicle from your dealer @AutoCityAlberton and returned the vehicle in less than 7 days from delivery due to non-disclosure of defects prior to purchase. Your dealer refuses to comply with the CONSUMER Protection Act and is ********ly in possession of my deposit as well as refusing to cancel my contract with @Wesbank. Further to this they want to charge me AA rates for a COURTESY vehicle, encouraged me to approach the Ombudsman and are now bullying me into charging R250 per day storage fee for a vehicle I had returned in less than 7 days. Is this how you treat your clients? This is not TCF!

12 Dec 2022, 11:05Dear Ruan, We feel that this is a very inappropriate and unfair review. The defects you are implying to are the 2 back fenders that was painted due to stone chips from the tyres. The original paintwork was not done by AutoCity, we then had them re painted as it was not done according to autoCity standards. You refuse to come and look at the baakkie after we did the repair as you are persistant to cancel. We contacted you daily to come and inspect the bakkie asn we are prepaired to bring the bakkie to you. If you are still not satisfied we will show you other bakkies to choose from. The consumer act staes that we as a dealership have the right to repair then replace and then refund in that sequence. The reason we suggest you go to the Ombudsman is for an indipendant opinion and we will stand by his decision. We also feel you have buyers remorse and is looking for a reason to to cancel.
