excellent service: windscreen repair

To whom it may concern;

I am insured with Santam (my VW Polo). I recently had a stone hit my windscreen, and proceeded to log a claim for a new windscreen. I was advised that no payment will be due if i install a Grandmark windscreen. I accepted this, and the claim was processed. The next day I received a call from the installer (Grandmark), who made an appointment to come and install the windscreen a few days later.

On the day of installation, two gentleman were ready to install the windscreen. However after inspecting the current installation, Alfred and Robert advised me that in order to remove the windscreen they are going to damage the paint work surrounding the glass, as something is not correctly aligned.

We decided to not install the windscreen, and seek more options. An hour later, they were back (16h00 on a Friday afternoon) with a senior person. Schalk advised that he would be able to try his best to not scratch the paint, as he brought an even thinner wire to use. He also advised that should there be a small scratch, he could cover it with the black-primer they use, and it will be sealed and not be visible/rust.

They proceeded with extra caution, and only about a 4cm scratch was left. Which was sealed and concealed and is not currently visible.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Alfred and Robert for their observations and for their efforts, along with Schalk, in installing the windscreen in the manner they did.

I would recommend them any day. Thank you for the extra efforts. And a special thanks to Alfred and Robert for approaching the installation in a professional manner.

May any rewards or thank you's that exist in your company go onto these 3 guys.
