Missing vehicle parts
My company used Auto Touch up Centre three times for panel beating. The first was a repair to the roof of our bakkie. It came back with a section of moulding around the windscreen missing. They replaced it under protest. On the second occasion we booked in two vehicles for hail damage. The first, a Nissan Livina, came back with a complete roof moulding missing. First they claimed it was on their workshop floor, then they said they would order one from the agent. I had to withhold the insurance excess from them for two months before they fixed it. We booked in our Isuzu bakkie at the same time and now we have no spare wheel. Unfortunately it is not the kind of thing you would look for when someone has worked on your roof and bonnet as it is attached to the underside of the chassis and needs a special tool to remove it. As the Executive Director of our company I can vouch that the vehicle has never been anywhere since it was returned where someone could remove the spare wheel without being seen by our staff or without our alarm tripping. I have had no response from the company.
