Think carefully..
Summary -” Replaced steering rack, broke vehicle spiral in the process, not refunding repair cost of R8194., No company registration number on the invoice. Rack leaked fluids the next day.” They replaced the steering rack on my 2012 Toyota Fortuner on 21 Dec 2022. Deon was friendly and looked like a nice guy. After replacement, I noticed a warning light on the dashboard and told him about that. He said it was just sensors, disconnected and reconnect the battery terminals, and told me to go home and phone him the next day. The problem remained. I drove to two Toyota dealerships the next day, both confirmed that Auto Steering broke the spiral when they replaced the steering rack. The Toyota technician also called me to the workshop and showed me that some hoses were loose and leak fluids from the rack...The whole time I phoned and WhatsApp him and he seemed sorry and told me that he will pay for the damage. I forwarded All reports and invoices to him, but he keeps on giving excuses. Still waiting for him to refund the repair cost of almost R8200, No company registration number on the invoice.
