Beware of "Too good to be rrue"

1. Who pays a deposit on a car they have not physically seen? How many warnings must you see about this. ******** is the no 1 business in SA. Most of these guys (the "dealers" with their names on the number plates) are totally untruthful. They take on private vehicles that they do not check and advertise them for cheap. Thats why they have to "check if its acailable" - they have to quickly phone the owner. If you buy the car and check the papers you will not see theur signature. They give you some other papers to sign and hidden somewhere is "we act only as an agent for the seller and cannot be held responsible..." The 3 month warranty normally is long enough for them not to worry. Sometimes you may even sign away the warranty. If its too good to be... it will cost you.
