On 18 April 2016, my VW Amarok Bakkie was booked at this panel beater as selected by Hollard Insurance. The total assessed damage was less that R33 000 (Thirty three thousand rand). At delivery of the vehicle, we stated clearly that if they could not ensure that the vehicle would be ready for collection on Tuesday, 26 April 2016, we would rather book the vehicle at a later date. No problem Sir- your vehicle will definitely be ready for collection. Needless to say that the vehicle was not ready and would subsequently be available for collection on Friday, 29 April 2016. It is now Wednesday, 4 May 2016 and still no vehicle- absolutely excellent service and clearly nothing to be upset about! At the heart of this unacceptable service delivery lies Hollard Insurance's policy of preferred suppliers. This practice can, as in this instance, lead to horrific service and uncompetitive pricing due to a captive market provided by Hollard. I wonder which type of incentives are required to be listed as a preferred supplier? As I have experienced, customer satisfaction is definitely not an applicable "incentive"
