Accident damaged car sold as accident free

This is a revision of my previous 5 start rating on 17 May 2025. Due to being sold a car that I later discovered was ACCIDENT DAMAGED. I viewed the car 2 or 1 week prior to collection. I was happy with the car and was reassured by the sales person and a senior person that the car was never in an accident or ever owned by an insurance company. However in hindsight there were indicators that the car may have been repaired. Like slight bumper misalignment, slight discolouration on the bumper, left rear door not shutting without some force, rough feeling paint around the boot shock and overspray on the boot shock itself. The repair work was great because these things were not noticeable. I only found out the car was in an accident when a friend was buying another car and performed a car vertical check on the car. I did one on my vehicle for fun. To my horror the car was listed to have had two accidents. I brought this up with Edward and provided the car vertical report.Again I was assured the car was accident free. Unfortunately this was outside the 6 months return period. Not believing Edward anymore, I pretended to want to trade the car in to see if that dealer would perform checks and confirm the accident. The dealer quoted a price almost half of what I bought the car for because of the accident history on the car. This breaks my heart because I specifically told Edward I plan on selling the car after 4-5 years hence I financed the car with a balloon. But because of dishonesty (intentional or not) I can't sell the car as planned because of the accident history. Now Auto investment treated me well during the bullying process. I don't know if they usually sell accident damaged cars or not I suggest performing accident checks before buying from them. I sincerely hope my case is an isolated case.
