Pathetic Customer Service

I experienced an issue with my vehicles gearbox and was advised to Auto Gear. I initially contacted the manager, Warwick, which was a great help and gave me piece of mind that he would sort me out and confirmed that i will bring my vehicle.

I then arranged with my dad to drop my vehicle on the given day, because i couldnt get off work. Upon my father arriving with my car he was welcomed by an employee from Auto Gear asking him what the problem was with the vehicle (outside the workshop). My dad responded that he was not sure because his son had made arrangements with someone at Auto Gear. This employee then very sarcastically "tells" him to call his son immediately and find out what the exact problem is. Obviously this upset my dad. He then responded in asking who Warwick wass. When the employee confirmed that this was the manager, sarcasm was thrown straight back at him by my dad by telling him to then ask Warwick what the problem was with my car.

My vehicle was kept for nearly two weeks, where i called in regularly to find out what the progress was. I was made empty promises up until my Warrenty company called me to confirm whether i was satisfied with my vehicle because they received an invoice for payment. When i told them i dont have my vehicle yet because my part was taking long to arrive they then confirmed they wont pay until i reeceived my vehicle and was happy. It was very convenient that a few days later my car was ready.

When collecting my car i was advised to drive moderately for 1000km (invoice says nothing about driving habits, only states after 1000km's return the vehicle to have it checked) so that the parts could set, which makes sense. I then pulled out and noticed that when releasing clutch in first gear there was slight grind (as if the gear was not engaging fully). I continued to drive thinking that this would probably go away since the gears need to set. A day later i still experienced the noise and called Auto Gear to speak to a technician. I then explained to him the noise i heard, and he responds to me saying, "I am not a fortune teller, you need to bring the car in." (this gave me the idea that this was probably the man that was disrespectful to my dad). I was calm and continued to ask what are their trading hours and he confirmed 08:00 - 17:00pm. I asked if they trade on weekends, and his response was, "You dont work on a weekend, so we also dont work on a weekend" (I couldnt believe this response).

I am absolutely appauled by this customer service and wish to extend a warning to customers that appreciate friendly customer service. I do not wish to comment on the fact that my gearbox does not feel right, because it might be common issue after replacing parts. I do hope that it is not due to workmanship.
