Auto Focus ARE TRYING TO TAKE ME FOR A RIDE!!!!!!!

This dealership is the worst ever. I bought a 2014 Polo TSI on 02 June 2023 and ever since the first day their customer service has been very poor. I tried to remain calm but things are starting to get out of hand now. There were a few cosmetic parts missing on the car and the salesman promised to sort it out. I drove home with the car, and had to come back the following week at my own expense to fetch the parts that were missing. When I got there they only gave me the recliner cover. The centre console was broken still, the window switch was broken and the handle to push the passenger seat up and down was also missing. The salesman said I had to glue the centre console. I told him no he must source a new centre console. He then had a ***** inserted to hold it in place. Then he said I had to come back for the other parts. So I drove back to Cape Town the next week at my own expense AGAIN!! Then the window switch got sorted out and the centre console. They took the parts from another car in the showroom. They also had to install a new gearbox mounting but they stalled so much by looking for cheaper parts, the mounting couldn’t get fitted because it was closing time. Both times I went to the shop at 9/10 am and left at 17:00 or either past 17:00. I started to get ****ed. I only got the seat handle on 21 June 2023 the day they came to fetch the car for a severe oil leak!!! I exposed them on Tiktok because they were stalling to send my parts and the money they owed me for paying the licensing and registration out of my own pocket. They immediately started to make plan for the part and the salesman paid my money directly from him personal bank account.

Now the oil leak. On 20 June 2023 I noticed that the car has very low lube oil on my way to Cape Town after transporting my uncle for an emergency to the hospital. I had the car inspected when I returned home that day at Renault Weskaap Motors to see what the car looked like underneath at the salesman’s request. I made a video showing him that the car is flooded with oil from the front to the back!! I told this Sabri guy(the salesman) to please fetch the car and have it sorted out. I also noticed that the oil filter has a dent it but I couldn’t confirm if the leak was coming from the filter, rear main seal or front crank seal. I asked them for a courtesy car while my car is being attended to and they said they cant source me a courtesy car. They came to fetch the car on 21 June 2023 and wanted to have the oil filter changed at VW in Vredenburg. I told them to take the car with them because they can see it’s not the filter that’s leaking. Yesterday (22 June 2023) the owner Nizaam phoned me and started talking to me in a very arrogant way asking me why did I sabotage the car and put a broken oil filter on the car. I told him this car has been in my possession for only 18 days and it’s never been worked on. I then asked him why would I put a broken oil filter on my car??? He said “Well I’m telling you that you’re deliberately sabotaging the car”. For what reason I do not know. I continued to tell him that I have a wife and two small kids and I wouldn’t be so stupid to put them in danger like that, but he kept on accusing me that I sabotaged the car. A car that I paid R170 000 for. I then exposed them on tiktok again due to the fact that they’re looking for ways not to fix the car and trying to pin this oil leak on me. I told them about the Consumer Protection Act 56(2) which states that the dealership is liable for any damage on a vehicle for the first 6 months since purchase. Now they started making sarcastic comments on the video I posted about them via their tiktok page and then deleting the comments. I took screenshots of all of this. They even went as far as commenting on the video saying I had a non RMI approved mechanic at the car but little do they know that was my father working in my brother’s Nissan Sentra. I lodged a complaint against them at MIOSA and MFC. The salesman claimed that people in the comment section threatened him and his colleagues, which is a total lie!! He then sent me warning messages about the Popi act and me exposing them on tiktok. Then he told me Im exposing then for likes and views. Then he said I shouldn’t contact him again and he blocked me on Whatsapp. Nobody is giving updates about the state of the car. And I cannot contact them because whatsapp was out main method of communicating. At this current moment they have the car in their possession and I told the bank and MIOSA that I do not feel the vehicle is reliable and trustworthy for me to transport my family. I informed them I want to cancel this deal with Auto Focus and buy a car from a more trustworthy dealership. Today (23 June 2023) I went to Rola VW Vredenburg to enquire about the headlights this car has installed because I suspected those are not the headlights the car come factory fitted with. Rola confirmed that those headlights on the car is not the original headlights the 2014 Polo TSI comes factory fitted with. It is the Polo Vivo’s headlights. This ****ed me off because AutoFocus failed to inform me that the vehicle has been altered either in an accident or whatever the case may be. I also noticed paint marks on the window rubbers which tells me the vehicle has been sprayed due to accident of whatever the case may be. I’ve had it with this pathetic dealership and their utter ********** customer service. At first I was very happy, but when they started treating me like I sabotaged my car and taking super long to sort out small things, i got very upset. Now they’re starting to make claims such as me having mechanics work on the car and nonsense! Auto Focus in Voortrekker road is the worst!!!!!!
