******** Debit Orders taken more than a month too early
I took out new building insurance policies around the 14th Dec 2018 effective 1 Feb 2019 as I still have my DialDirect policies in place and can not cancel at short notice. I spoke to the call centre 4 times and each time they said the debit orders will run 1 Jan 2019. I stated each time that I still have policies and it must be 1 Feb 2018. My policies stated this date.
The last call I got was on 24 Dec 2018 with 1 policy set for 1 Jan 2019. I told them I DO NOT AGREE to any debit orders prior to 1 Feb 2019 as it will constitute *****.
I woke up on Friday, 28 Dec 2018 and noticed that all 3 policies ( ********** 49, ********** 51 and 5 ********** 3) went off my Capitec account without my permission. I NEVER AGREED to these debit orders and now sit with double debits and a bad name.
I NEVER AGREED to debit orders for 1 Jan 2019 nor 28 Dec 2018.
I need the debit order charges of R3.73 per debit order and debit order dispute fee of R45 per debit order refunded to me immediately. I also need to be compensated for this reputational damage done by Auto&Gen and will be lodging a formal complaint at the Insurance Ombudsman and Payment Association of SA (PASA).
