Tyres and rims (not) cover

I am currently experiencing the worst of them all. Made a claim for 2 of my tyres for a BMW X3 that were spiked and I was advised that the cover amount is R3000 per incident,regardless how many tyres got damaged. Shap, I sent in a quote for their DSP Tiger wheel for standard tyres which amounted to R 7900. During a feedback on my claim I am advised that there is a thread % access that I need to put upfront and for both tyres in amounted to R1200, meaning i am only covered for the amount of R1800. I requested to jus claim for one tyre since this does not make financial sense to have a cover but 90% of the amount will be coming from my pocket. Still,R991 will be deducted from the cover amount including the betterment access will the final amount still gets to around R1800 and I am advised that I have to get it done with the DSP since there won’t be any pay out made to me to find an alternative since my car has been immobile for a week now. I am utterly disappointed with all this and to think that the insurer is not even concerned about their customers just make me so irate.
