Suspended insurance for household contents

I am in the process of claiming for a broken laptop. I was phoned yesterday to say payout will happen within the next 3 days and was asked if my specified laptop can be removed from my policy. I gave the go ahead and also asked to be put through to someone that can change my vehicle insurance from business to private. The next guy I spoke to changed it for me and when I asked that he must look if the laptop was removed he told me that my household contents cover has been suspended. He could not give a reason but apparently the underwriters are looking at it and will contact me. I want to know where this suspension came from. Who gives you the right to take my premium for the month and then half way through suspend my cover!!!! So if someone breaks into my house today or during the night I am not covered while you have been paid!!! I told him if I didn't received feedback by today at 8 in the morning I am phoning around for new insurance. So have received no call from you so guess what I am busy doing. Bunch of *******!!!
