Stay away from Auto&General - Premiums not refunded if cancelled

I have cancelled my insurance with Auto & General on 3 June after the premium was already deducted from my bank account. Auto General refuses to refund the portion of the premium paid in advance for cover never provided. The Auto & General telephone sales rep did not warn me that the pre-paid policy premium will not be refunded. Probably in the fine print what one never reads when one does a telephone insurance-job. To make things worse -had to hang on for ages talking and tolerating to a dumb Andrew-AI - thing before I could convince the robot speak with a proper human being. Poor service. Non-transparent service. Kudos to Naked Insurance! Kudos to Outsurance! Kudos to Santam - in stark contrast these insurers immediately refunded the pre-paid portions of the short-term insurance immediately. Stay clear from Telesure Investment Holdings - T/A Auto General. Lesson learnt.
