Scratch and dent cover that never existed. Or did it?

For 15 years I paid for a Value added policy (#***) without ever submitting a claim, thinking that I have scratch and dent cover. Today, when I tried to submit a claim, I was transferred 5 times because I could not be found on the system, then to be told that I was under the wrong impression, I do not have scratch and dent cover. I then asked that this policy be cancelled immediately. Yet... On the cancellation letter, I just cancelled a Scratch and dent policy I am livid!
