Refusal to refund premium on cancellation of deal

In the beginning of August 2015, I had purchased a vehicle from a Group1 Nissan dealership in Port Elizabeth on the 7th August 2015. I had insured the vehicle with Auto & General from the 6th August 2015. On the 10th of August 2015 - it was brought to my attention that the vehicle was accident damaged. I immediately spoke to the dealership - who agreed to take the vehicle back and cancel the deal. I notified Auto & General of this development - but they said I needed a letter from the dealership in order to refund me my premium. The dealership sent through correspondence as well as a letter to Auto & General. However Auto & General have found fault with this letter and refuse to accept it as proof that I have returned the vehicle. I have begged, pleaded and tried reasoning with a number of consultants from Auto & General. No one is willing to assist. To date I have not received my refund. I have to keep checking with the lady in question (Bevil) - and she says she's waiting on the dealership to send through another letter. Even the employees at the dealership are fed up. I really am truly fed up and very upset. Feel like I have been ******. No car. AND No refund!!!!
