Refund of insurance premiums.
Refund of Premiums: *** I am struggling to get my refund of premiums after Auto & General took premiums for the vehicle already traded in. The asked for proof of payment of the car, I provided it. Then again the settlement letter, I gave it to them after they said in their email that the settlement letter will be sufficient. They now turn around to say the settlement letter is not sufficient, now they want the dealership letter! They need to refund me the premiums for 4 months which is R165 x 4 = R460.00, on policy ***. See their email:

Good day Thank you for your email regarding the refund request. Kindly be advised that in order to assist with your refund, we require proof that the vehicle was sold. Please note, should the vehicle be sold privately, we require a copy of the De-registration or Enatis documents. If the vehicle was traded in at a dealership, we require a letter from the dealership confirming the date when the vehicle was traded in. The letter must be on a stamped dealership’s letterhead. Please be advised that a settlement letter is sufficient proof the vehicle was sold. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us.
