Premium Increase after claim

I have had over 15 cars, i have been insured for over 10 years, without any car claims. While my car was parked at work an old lady reversed into my car, leaving a small dent in driver door. I called and made a repair claim. Someone at Auto & general, as per their procedure runs an investigation into my insurance history and decides i haven't been insured for more than a year, i am 38 years old, really??? As a result my premium goes up by R500 a month, and i am a very unhappy customer. Hollard insurance covered me for probably more than 5 years, no accidents or vehicle claims. But Auto and General have failed to recognize the value of knowing your customer. Sad that everything seems automated. Anyway i will be getting other quotes and leaving a redundant system, try getting to know your customer before just making changes.
