PATHETIC SERVICE AND INSURANCE COMPANY

Our garage was burgled 2 weeks ago, luckily they were not able to enter our house. We recently moved insurance companies from Discovery to Auto and General, biggest mistake of our lives. My husband app**** for full comprehensive car and home insurance in which he thought he was fully covered for. Knowing in this day and age living in South Africa you cannot be without proper cover. Only to discover that when we claimed, that we were in actual fact only covered for STORM AND FIRE. Who in their right minds would just cover for that. Why had the agent not informed my husband when taking our the cover that, that was all we were covered for. When putting in the claim and of course it was rejected because we were not "fully covered". We took it up on review only to be yet again rejected. This company doesn't care about its clients they are just there to take your money but never pay out claims. So not only were we ****** by actual burglers but by AUTO AND GENERAL aswell. When dealing with clients, you are selling a service to them, you need to make the clients fully aware of what his actually paying for. Not say hold on, NO SORRY you not covered for this and that when you actually try to put a claim in. Your agents opening up policies need to explain in full detail what a client is PAYING FOR. I have always been the carrier of our insurance and I have been previously insured for 8 years with another insurancer and 2 years with another insurancer. I have never received such BAD service from an insurance company. I will never recommend this company to anyone. The underhanded and deception that goes on is unreal. I'm really disappointed by this. Your agents do not care about your clients all they care about is NOT paying claims so that you can save a buc****!!!
