Pathetic

Hi there. I took out car insurance with Auto and General in 2013. Today my car was knocked by another vehicle whilst I was inside the house. There were damages to the bumper, bull bar and the bonnet. I understand that Its not the latest models and I paid +- R780, 00 a month as my premium. Problem is when I took out the insurance the excess was R3550, 00. When I lodged my claim today the excess jumped up to R9000, 00. They never consulted with me. If I had this information I would have cancelled my policy with them a long time ago. What's the purpose of a policy if you must pay so much money in the event of something happening to your vehicle. I won't recommend A & G to anyone.
