No refund or credit for removing vehicle
I recently sold one of my vehicles and hence removed it from my policy.
I loved how the lady who assisted me started out by saying that she is acting under their code of honesty and integrity.

At Auto & General, if you add a vehicle on the 29th of the month they will charge you pro rata for the one day, which I don't have any problem with. I'm happy to pay for what I used.
If you however remove a vehicle on the 1st of the month, do you think they refund or credit you with the remaining 29 days. NO. Suddenly what is good for the goose is no longer good for the gander.

Their reasoning for this is, Ha ha ha ha, you wanted to remove your vehicle, now you will be penalized.
I understand if a client cancelled his entire policy and moved to another insurer. I would also be a bit bitter and tried to take that last bit of premium. But removing a car due to the fact that you sold it. I wonder if they think I should replace the sold car with a new car. I wonder if R300 refund is worth a possible lifetime of premiums.

I think I might do some shopping around for insurance to see if I can get somebody who does in fact act according to a code of integrity.
