Neglect to offer Roadside assistance

I was involved in an accident on the night of Sunday, 20 May 2018. I contacted the police, and then the Insurance that same night. They sent a tow truck and the person who towed the car was very helpful to the extent of helping us finding overnight accommodation.

1. I put in a claim for roadside assistance to cover the accommodation and transport from Harding to PMB where I was going. This claim was rejected. Reason - Roadside assistance does not apply in case of accidents. In October I had a flat tyre and called seeking assistance, I did not get car hire - car hire was only in case of accident. The consultant neglected to inform me that they could give me roadside assistance since this was not an accident.

If you do not get roadside assistance when you get a flat tyre and when you are in an accident so when does one get Road Side assistance?

My concerns were not addressed. The gentleman said he was going to contact you because he said they act on your instructions and your instructions to them were that I did not deserve the cover. My question is still open, when does one with comprehensive cover qualify or not qualify to claim for roadside assistance? Why did the consultant neglect to tell me my options when i called in requiring assistance? Was it competence issues? Was it gross dereliction of duty? What recourse do i have in any of these cases?
