Murky Policy Schedule Specification

I lodged a claim for my laptop that was damaged on the 28th of August 2020 within my residential househould. Tablet was placed in its usual charging spot on the fridge. Upon late night trip to fridge cable got caught in the door which resulted in tablet dropping and the screen being damaged.

Got a call on 31/08/20 .My claim got rejected because it wasnt specified as a portable possesion. Told the lady what is the actual point of having unspecified portable insurance when they dont cover a tablet under that. Told her in underwriting it was not explained to what the actual difference is.

She then said she will pull the call and check. Tonight I logged on to see what status of claim is REJECTED. Not pending but Rejected.

Absolutely ridiculous service. Im frightened to think what will happen if my car gets into an accident if this is the type of shortcuts they take in non approval of claims
