Lame excuses in a bid to decline a claim
I have a vehicle warranty with Auto and General through their administrator, Warranty Solutions. I reported to the them that my vehicle's 5th gear kicks itself out while driving and only drives to 4th gear. They advised I take it to the repairer for a quote which I did. We had to provide them with service report and they gave the go ahead with the striping of the vehicle to do the quote. After this they decline the claim saying the vehicle's licence disc has expired and this means my vehicle NOT road worthy. When I ask to be directed to the policy wording of my schedule to see if this condition is there, Mark Hurtchinson rudely responded on the mail saying "I don’t have to show you any policy term regarding the expired license. The law stipulates that you may not drive a vehicle on a public road without a valid license. That means your vehicle is not roadworthy. You can study up on the law." Question is what does an expired disc got to do with the repair of the vehicle? Who told you that an expired licence = not road worthy? Why do you fail to provide policy wording or schedule to show which term and condition as per our contract did I contravene. I hate the day we crossed paths.
