Lack of communication

I called in regarding my retrenchment benefit. The person I spoke to gave me an email address to forward my retrenchment documents. However the email returned as an unknown email address. I resorted to emailing on email addresses I've used before, however I haven't had a response. The person over the phone said my claim had been launched. But I haven't had any supporting communication eg claim number, name of assessor (was informed an assessor would be allocated to the case) /confirmation as with previous claims.
