Inspection Certificate

We were advised that we had to do a vehicle inspection for our vehicle. The inspection was done at one of the service providers, however after the inspection I was sent an updated policy schedule. It stated that my policy was amended which I could not understand because I did not make any changes. I the discovered that Auto and General changed my Comprehensive Insurance to Third Party Insurance since they claimed that the inspection was not done. I was advised that I had to obtain a copy from the service provider and send it through to Auto and General. I do not think that it is the client's responsibility to obtain the certificate from the service provider, but did so to ensure that my policy is corrected. A few days later I received an e-mail stating that my policy had been updated however upon reviewing my online profile yesterday, it still reflected that the vehicle is due for an inspection and only insurance for Third Party. This means that should the vehicle be in an accident, I would be liable for any damage to the vehicle. This is extremely poor on Auto and General's behalf. The issue has that not been resolved.

The matter has not been resolved as discussed with management via a telephonic discussion. Firstly, I contacted A&G this morning to find out why my vehicle was still insured as Third Party only. They said that they have not received the inspection certificate (it also reflected as such on my online policy), even though I received an e-mail on Saturday stating that it has been received and attached to my policy. After my discussion with the consultant, a manager phoned me with regards to my HelloPeter complaint. It was then brought to light that it was the proof of the tracking device that was a problem and not the inspection certificate as indicated by the consultant. The manager advised that we will have to reload the vehicle and delete the previous to add the comprehensive cover back. I advised that we will take a tracking device via A&G and will ensure it gets installed next week. The manager said he will phone me back since he struggled with the system being slow. In the meantime I also received another e-mail from A&G now stating that the certificate was unclear. Saturday it was captured and attached to the policy, today it is unclear and I have to resend it for the 3rd time. It is disappointing to say that after more than conversations with 3 different people, the matter is still pending.
