I have a bundled tyre and rim together with scratch and Dent value added cover

I have a bundled tyre and rim together with scratch and Dent value added cover. I read up that they cover wheel alignment if you were to hit a curb. I called in to make a claim, only to be told that it's only for new clients. My premium for the cover increased for whatever reason known to them, I was only told that each year there's a risk assessment. Can someone call me to explain why the premium increased while it doesn't add any benefits to me and the risk hasn't changed as noted my main policy.
