I felt exploited by auto and general

i think i have been exploited by Auto and general. maybe just because i am a dumb or black i dont know. why i am saying this, i hit a pothole where my magrim is slightly bend and shock is leaking oil, after i have lodged a claim their quotation where i should take my car for repairs is R13000 exc vat , and they tell me to pay R9800 for excess whereas my basic excess is R5600. and what also shock me is that , by looking at the damage report Auto and general they only going to pay R2900 for labour and parts from Renew-it is R9800 . i dont know maybe i am stupid coz they are deducting R1209 for monthly premium without fail, when i ask for clarity and where will i get that additional R4000 their answer is vague. Lastly. my car is driveable not involved in an accident with another car or written -off, i just drove into the pothole but Auto and general gives me the run arounds coz i have outlined my situation that i am prepared to pay R5600 thats what i can afford.
