Help me to revcover my access please

Can you please help me to recover my access from Auto and General, my girlfriend got knocked by a taxie driver last year on the 14/09/2018. My car was only 7 days old form the garage Auto and general made everything easy for me as I didn't yet pay any instalment they helped me a lot to make a claim and my access was R12000. The problem is with their access recovry department when ever I called them they just told me that they are still waiting from other insurance to respond. Its one year and some weeks waiting from them they dont even update me whats going on. Please help me I don't know what to do anymore.
