False promise by Auto and General, typical insurance company modus operandi

About a month or 2 ago, I received a call from an Auto and General agent with a request that I participate in a quotation on the promise of a R500 voucher if I don't take up insurance with them i.e. their offer not better than my current insurer's. I told him I moved from them before because they were expensive but he insisted on going ahead.

Since then, heard nothing from him nor his company.

Surprised? Not at all, they are an insurance company after all and routinely promise all sorts of things they'll back out of at the slightest provocation!
