23 Mar 2026, 19:39 I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received regarding my vehicle repair process.
On 25 November 2025, I submitted a claim, and only on 17 December 2025 did I receive authorization for repairs. My vehicle was initially sent to Renew-It from an auto body repair shop in Vereeniging. However, the handling of my vehicle thereafter was extremely unprofessional and disorganized.
On 16 January 2026, my car was moved back to Tech Auto Body Repair, then again sent to Renew-It on 21 January, and later returned to Tech Auto Body Repair on 26 February. Throughout this entire back-and-forth process, consultant Nobuhle Cele failed to communicate with me. I was never informed about why my vehicle was being moved multiple times or updated on its status.
On 6 March 2026, I was contacted to collect my vehicle, which I was told had passed quality control. Shockingly, I was handed a non-roadworthy vehicle that could barely drive 20 km. This is unacceptable, especially considering that the repair shop was recommended by the insurer.
My vehicle was collected again last week Tuesday, yet to date based on my complaint , I have received no communication or updates regarding the progress or current status of the repairs. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and substandard workmanship have been extremely frustrating.
To date, I have effectively been without a usable vehicle for nearly 4 months . Even during the short period the vehicle was returned to me, it was not roadworthy and could not be properly used.
I am very disappointed with the service received and expected a far higher level of professionalism, communication, and accountability.
