Exceptional Service

It is human nature to complain about everything, however, I would like to pay a compliment to Auto and General. About 5 weeks ago a stone hit my windscreen on the freeway on my way home from work. I phoned Auto and General, before I arrived home I received a phonecall from City Glass and a gentelman asked me when can I bring my car in for my windscreen to be replaced? I repied that I could come in right away. I went to City Glass, where they replaced my windscreen on my way home, I received the authorization referance number from Auto and General. I have never in my life had such excellent service from an insurance company. Three weeks ago, I came home from work, and there was water running out of my garage. I went into my townhouse to find that a water pipe had burst. There was water throughout the house. After reading my water meter, I discovered that 7kL of water had run through my house. I phoned auto and general and within an hour there was a company called DryForce at my house with machines to dry up the house. Before they arrived I had neighbours assisting me sweep out the water. The same night Auto and General put myself and my family in a bed and breakfast. We stayed at the bed and breakfast for 6 nights, while the house was drying out, and all the costs were covered by Auto and General. The damage in the house was the laminated flooring in 3 bedrooms, the cupboards in all the bedrooms and kitchen were damaged, 6 carpets were damaged as well as items that the kids had left on the floor(playstation, tablets, psp, etc). I delt with 2 assesors in PE, their names were Emile and Jaco. Emile delt with the structural damage, and Jaco dealt with the contents. These two employees, I can honestly say were absoute gentelmen and thourough and never procrastinated. What they were most concerned about was getting my house back to the way that it was. I would also like to mention that everyone from Auto and General that I dealt with over the phone were extremely helpful and polite. My claim was settled timeously and Jaco and Emile assisted with contractors and suppliers. I have told my family, friends and neighbours about the service that I have received from Auto and General. They all were supprised and said when they have had a claim from other insurance companies, they take their time and there are always delays. My family, friends and neighbours after I gave them proof of everything, because they doubted the service that I said that I had received from Auto and General, they have said that they are moving to Auto and General.
