I took out Scratch, dent and tyre rim cover about 2 years ago with Auto And General, last year I was in a horrific accident and my car was written off by none other that Auto and General and yes that were excellent in handling that claim. Bought myself a Sendero, updated my details with Auto and General around June 2023. Please take note that when selling me the policy they tell you, you can claim on the scratch and dent cover as many times a month as you like (DONT BELIEVE IT, ITS NOT TRUE), just got my new car and as luck would have it a truck reversed into my vehicle, once again I went to auto and general who were excellent as the main insurance is and everything was approved and off to the panel beaters went my car. Just before taking my car in I contacted the scratch and dent cover to repair the scratches on the car at the same time which had been caused by some children in the complex I live in, kindly take note I have never claimed from this cover. I then get told its declined because the quote Auto and General got was too high, 2 mins after this I get a message from the panel beater to say the additions are approved. I phone the claims at Auto and General because now obviously I am confused and this lady answers who is blatantly rude on the phone and tells me its a mistake, I keep telling her but you approved it with the panel beater and she continues with her attitude saying its a mistake on the panel beaters side really - you pay every month but when you claim they can't live up to it but for two years they have taken my money. Lets also note that all the details on the policy for the dent cover have never been updated.
