Disgruntled

In June 2016 we Insured our new car for scratch and dent damages by Auto and General. In February/March of 2018 we wanted to put in a claim for chip mark on the car. I was asked when it happened and said it was during January 2018. The consultant told me that it was to late to put in a claim as the damaged was over a month old. I complained that I was never told this when I took out the insurance and till that date I had not received my policy documents. Further to this I was told that there would be a R500 excess on the claim. Suddenly the policy document arrives. This month my Premium went up from R99 to R139...a 40% increase? I lodged a complaint with their company but have not heard a word till date...

Reviewer Update
Good day, Auto and General did contact me and investigated the matter. I have now received a letter in which they state that they will not entertain the claim because I did not adhere to the terms and conditions. Twice I told them that I cannot open the "Standard Terms and conditions" All other PDF files that I receive I am able to open. I told them I had not received the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OR MY POLICY ! It was found that they had a wrong letter in the email address. I received the policy after I wanted to claim. TWICE I told them that my name is wrong and my street address is wrong but still there is no correction made ! Really ! ? What do they not understand?
