Courtesy car problem with auto and general
I was involved in an accident on the 22nd of November. I registered my claim same time. All went well with my claim. I received a courtesy car on the 23rd November 2021. I was told the car must return on the 23rd of December 2021, or as soon as I get my car back (before the return date). Auto and general took almost 2 weeks to update me about my car. I had to call and inquire. The assessor told me the car damages exceeded the maximum amount set for fixing it, and that in that case the write the car off. I was given an option to agree to a write off or allow them to get panelbeaters who can fix the car for the amount set. I chose to get the car fixed. My car was only taken to the panelbeaters around 14/15 December. My worry was that I need to return the courtesy car, and my car hasn't been fixed yet. I was in Limpopo on holiday. I called auto and general to raise my concern , about returning the courtesy car when my car hasn't been fixed yet,and I needed to have the period extended. Auto and general only extended with 5 days. I told them I needed to have the car. Mind you I was in Limpopo with family. I had to drive back from Limpopo, leaving family behind so that I can return the car. I am going back to work early January, I don't think my car will be ready by then. .I must return the car today, my family must use public transport to come back. I am very disappointed.
Otherwise they are good.
