Claim unfairly declined by Auto and General

Took out a car insurance with them in September 2023, December 2023 I lodged a claim with them , for scratch and dent , they asked me to take pictures , for the assessor to give me a quote of how much it will cost to cover the damages , Later I was told that the damages are less than my excess fee so therefore I have to fix the car with my own money , Mind you I was not told when I took out the policy that any amount less than the excess fee I am liable for it , even on the contract it is not stated ,

My matter was later escalated to the manager , The manager called trying to convience me to understand that I have to pay from my pocket as they will not pay for the damages,they can only assist by that the car goes for a physical asses*****t then if the amont is more than the excess fee they will pay the defference ( the assessment was done already ) , i find itnot fair as a 1st time car owner , how was I suppose to know that i have to pay if the damages are lesser than the excess amount , if I was not informed, i find this as misreprestation by the sales rep and the company , cause what they say on call it is not noted on the call , there was no transparency from them .

I have never missed any premium , It is sad that we pay for services that we never get to get , basically I am doing a charity case for Auto and General , by contributing premiums every month, cause in the event of claimaning they tell you things that they never disclosed . The manager told me that they will not pay and he is going to excalate the matter to their dispute department , which will contact me within 48 hrs , I will wait and hear from them , before I can escalate the matter to OMBUDS .
