I reported my car faulty, as there was a knocking sound in the engine. Auto & General then came to pick my car up for assessment, and 2 months later they tell me they are not able to cover the damages. Prior to them fetching my car, my car was moving and had no other problems but the engine sound. When they returned my car, the engine was removed and placed in the boot at the back, air conditioning pipes were cut, tensioner idley pulley damaged, the list goes on and on of the things that are either cut and or damaged. As i now bought another engine with my own funds, the mechanics working on it are finding missing parts and damaged parts that were not damaged before Auto & General intervened. Who must pay for all this and the extra labor charges? I took my car in for the engine sound it was giving, and they returned my car in a very bad condition with unrelated parts missing and damaged. They did not cover the car, and i now have extra things i need to replace that are not my fault but theirs. Please assist me, this is too much and it is unacceptable.
