Cancellation without hassles

I am 92 years old. I now live in an old age home. I have disposed of most of my fixed and movable assets and invested the proceeds.. The balance (TV’s ,laptops, persnal items, telephone etc.) is partly covered by the home. I sent an email to Auto and General to terminate the policy. I was informed by email that cancellation of the policy could only be done by recorded telephone call . I phoned and explained that due to my deafness telephone calls were difficult. The lady took enough information to establish my credentials and in minutes the cancellation was done. I have enjoyed nothing but excellent service from Auto and General throughout my time with them.
