Beware of AUTO AND GENERAL

My name is wendy gilbert. I trusted Auto and General to help me. They did send me a request that if i was not happy, to let them know. Of course i was not happy to pay R2600 for insurance for my car. In December 2019, i phoned them to speak about a cracked windscreen( now THAT is another story!!) I was told that i could get a discount, but i had to ask for it!!! Just imagine going to buy a car, or a loaf of bread: and ask for a discount???? I never knew that! I was shocked. Asking the company i trust to give me a discount???? No problem, said the man at the discount department. Your premium can be R1760!!!!! Fool that i was, i went to work to proudly tell my colleagues about this amazing insurance company!!!!! I trusted them. What a fool i was. I believed they had my best interest at heart. What a fool i was. Will they admit that they did not have my best interest at heart. NO WAYS. The lady at Auto and General said that she wouldnt pay that ammount for her car. What a fool i was! I feel violated. They charge as much as they can. And if you dont know about the discount, what a fool you are. AUTO AND GENERAL TAKE MONEY THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM. SHAME ON YOU!!!!! What a fool i was!!! Do NOT trust them. They want your money. They dont care about their clients. And i repeat, what a fool i was. Shame on you, AUTO AND GENERAL Shame on you. Please be careful if they are your insurers. Be careful.
