Beware of asking Aoto and General for a quote. They do not care about you

I had an unfavorable experience with Auto and General which I cannot recommend for business interactions. Upon requesting a quote, I engaged in the entire application process with a courteous gentleman who diligently assisted in securing an appropriate quote with manageable installments. After agreeing to the terms, a request was made to authorize a Debi-check on my account despite my explicit instruction for a conventional debit order. Subsequently, a different agent contacted me the next day to reinitiate the application procedure. Despite voicing my intent to cancel and refusing to partake in the prolonged process again, another agent persisted in contacting me the following day. Despite my reiterated cancellation, unauthorized debits continued to be made from my account. In this period, I had already arranged my vehicle insurance with an alternative provider, yet Auto and General debited my account without consent. Despite attempts to contact them, reachable avenues were limited, and the promised callbacks did not materialize.
