Auto & General *****s small man!!!

I was hit by a driver insured by Auto & General. I immediately contacted the insurance to lodge a 3rd party claim for damages to my car. The insurance has admitted 80% liability for repairs to my car.

What is completely substandard conduct by an insurer is that Auto and General refuses to have my car assessed properly and insist on offering me 80% settlement on an assessment conducted purely from pictures I had to send them.

I had my car physically assessed by an accredited bodyshop to have damage worth R 53 000,00 but their "virtual" assessment found the damage to be R35 000.00

In what world is an assessment made through cell phone pictures more reliable than one done by professionals physically ???????
